Daniel Cohen (1979)
Studied photography for one year at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Self-taught and independent,
Cohen enjoys meeting people and creating genuine portraits by cooperating with them closely.
His work is in colour because he sees life in colour. Based in Amsterdam, Cohen works for leading Dutch
newspapers, magazines and cultural companies and took portraits of people such as
[selected] Ennio Morricone, Ai Weiwei, Cliff Richard, Anish Kapoor, Erwin Olaf, Nile Rodgers
Junkie XL, Michael Palin, Boris Mikhailov and Kendrick Lamar.
Next to his commissioned photography he also worked on several independent projects, like
We Want More, My name is Cohen, Being Hans Teeuwen, Ode to nature and Slowtime
